"Yea, and that same God did establish his church among them; yea, and that same God hath called me by a holy calling, to preach the word unto this people and hath given me much success, in the which my joy is full." - Alma 29:13

Hey how is everything going?

We are doing well. From Thursday we had an add on.. We had interviews
with President Rappleye and then I had a meeting that night with him
and all the Zone Leaders/District Leaders from 3 zones. So that was
really good. I was able to meet up with Elder Barker and Elder Bosse.
They were both in my MTC district and we were the only 3 from the
district to come to this mission. And so we took a picture together
and with President Rappleye because we met him in the MTC too. We are
from his very first group as a Mission President. So that was really
awesome. So it was a good meeting. Then after, Elder Mendoza (from my
District) had emergency exchanges the other week and another Elder
came up form Puerto Montt with him, well he went back to his sector on
Thursday and now we are in a 3some. We have 3 missionaries. It is a
little wierd and a little strang but you know whatever. It happens.
But we have been having fun. And it has gotten a little annoying
sometimes. But we are dealing with it. So yea that has been our last
week. It has gone well. Then I talked to the Zone Leaders the other
night and we got our
cambios!!............................................................................................................................
I am staying with Elder Nuttall for our 3rd cambio together! I will be
6 months here in this sector. But after that I will only have 2
cambios more. That is the wierd thing. But it's all good. So I am
really excited. Our investigators are starting to progress more and
more. I am really excited that I am staying here for a little bit. So
I will be here for another 5 weeks. They are changing the cambios to 5
weeks I'm pretty sure. So I will just be home a week earlier. Because
I am pretty sure that we are closer to the MTC date than the other
missions who are having a 4 week cambio. That must be it. So that is
what is going on with us. We are going to have a 5 week cambio I
think. But that is all good. I'm pretty excited that we are staying
together. We are going to go out and baptize!! I know that we are
going to.

So today I don't think that we are doing anything. Just because people
want to pack or something. I don't know. But whatever. We are going to
go do things us three. We are going to eat and probably sleep hahaha.
I am so tired. And I need to write a letter. But it's all good I will
be able to do it. Oh just to let you know, we aren't with our same
Mamita now. We changed. They were bad. I think that they were using
the money for something else. So it is good that we are gone. I am
excited to be in the mamita now. They are an awesome family!! I'm
really excited. I'll take pictures with them to send. But no the last
day that we ate with the other family, he brought us three two little
things of some potatoe crap about the size of my camera. Maybe
smaller. So he brought 6 and they probably cost about a dollar or
less. That is the thing. They were just keeping the money I think. I
don't know. But the money isn't for them. President Rappleye told me
to talk to them and tell them that to be mamita is a calling not a
job. It's not to get gain and it's to serve the missionaries. So that
is the thing. I don't know. I am just glad that we are gone.

That is cool about all our missionaries in the ward. That is such a
good blessing. There are like 3 in our stake here ha. But that is so
sweet about Cami Palmer. I am super jealous. I promise that I will go
there some day and I will see a game of the Eagles. Just an F.Y.I.
haha. But that is awesome that we have so many people who are leaving
now and who are willing to serve. The Lord is building his Kingdom. He
needs more and more missionaries. That is awesome. So it sounds like
you guys have had a lot of fun lately. Lots of sickness and lots of
cold. I am dying of heat here. Sorry hahaha. But we are doing well.
Trying not to get too sunburnt because the sun here is different. The
O-Zone layer is disappearing so the sun is stronger here. It feels so
much hotter than it does there and we are only at like 90 degrees. We
hit over 100 like 1 or 2 times I think but it feels so much hotter. I
don't know. So we are using lots of sun screen. Don't worry.

SO we have a family that we found. His name is William, his wife is an
inactive member named Camila and they have an 1 year 10 month old baby
named Martina. And they came to church yesterday!! It was so awesome.
We have an appointment today so we are going to finish teaching the
Plan of Salvation probably. We have only taught them once but we are
excited for today. I can't wait to see how it goes.

That is about it! We have had a good week and we are looking for a
better one now. We are excited. I know that we will do good. Because
this is the Lord's work and he is on our side fighting with us. He
will help us and be our support. I love you guys tons!! Have a great
week and we will talk to you soon!!

Un abrazo,

Hey there!

Hey how is everything going? I am doing well. First off. Mom I did get
my card this last week. So you are good to activate it. And secondly,
cambios are next week. So we still have a week left. I don't know
where or if I am leaving. But I will probably know on Thursday.. We
have interviews with President Rappleye. So I will know but you guys
won't know haha. So yea sorry. That's what happens when I can't write
until Monday anyways. But yea so we are together for a week more at
least. I don't know. I have heard from a couple Elders that they think
that I will be leaving. We will see what happens right? I don't know.
Oh and I just want to ask for your forgivness with taking so much
money out lately. What happened is we don't know where our money went
this week... I don't know how we spent it all so quickly but we don't
have any money.... So we are kind of living off of personal money.. So
yea we are just trying to survive hahaha. I think that it might have
happened because our Mamita well Ronal has kinda messed us over with
our food. He doesn't give us pretty much anything. We normally get a
little bit of rice with like 2 eggs. And that is what we normally eat.
We don't know what he does with the money that the Church pays him
haha. But yea we are changing Mamitas so that is the good thing.
Because I think that is that we get hungary so we have to go in the
afternoon and we go buy something to eat. Like an empanada or
something just because we are starving. So that is my bad. It is just
for this week. I am going to have to buy some food so I have breakfast
haha. So yea that is why it probably looks like I'm just wasting the
money. But I'm really not. There is a good reason for it.

So our investigators are about the same. We still are teaching our
normal investigators. So that is good. We think that Makarena is going
to be baptized very soon. She is going to EFY and her and her dad had
a very strong discusion about that she can't just do everything that
the members do. She is more active than the members. He said that they
are like rewards for the kids you could say. Like going to the camping
trips and now that she is going to EFY. Just stuff like that. So he
said that he thinks that she is going to be getting baptized very very
soon. Hopefully. I hope she can. And also Hna. Kena is going to see
what happens with her divorce at the end of the month so after that
gets resolved she will be able to get baptized and her marrage and
everything. But she is doing really well. All of our investigators are
great. They are amazing people who mayorly want to listen and get
baptized they just have a little reason why they can't. I have already
explained all of them haha. But they are doing really well. Just need
like a little push you could say.

So that is nuts that Gavin and Brady are entering into the MTC. Send
them my love! They are good kids. That is just awesome that they will
be there together. At least for a little bit. I hope that all goes
well with them. Send my love to the family also. And that is also
pretty sick that the 49ers are in the Super Bowl. Hopefully they can
take it all the way and win it. I would like to see them win it. They
are still on of my favorite teams. It's just that the Eagles are my
favs. Ha.

We are doing well her Elder Nuttall and I. Just trying to figure out
what is going on in our sector. We have had a lot of trouble trying to
find and teach new investigators. But we are just still going. We
aren't going to give up with the investigators. President Rappley
wrote me and told me not to give up. Sometimes it happens where you
just have to start finding and everything. He also said that it
happens when the lessons fall a little. He is just super supportive
and there to help us. I am thankful for a great President like him. He
is awesome.

Oh before I forget. I want to study Mechanical Engineering. Not
Manufacturing. Just so you know. I really was thinking about trying at
the U of U. I am pretty sure that they have a great program there. So
yea. I don't know though. That would be great if you could look for me
and find out. But yea Find out also when they start haha. Please :)

Well I hope that you have a great week. I will talk to you soon. I
love you guys tons. Your such a great support and everything for me. I
hope that all goes well and that you get to do a bunch of stuff to
keep you busy. Have a great week! Love you.

Un abrazo,

Elder Tyler Jolley
